At POS Displays we go the extra mile to ensure that we use FSC or PEFC certified materials in our displays when required, as it's our responsibility as a business to look after the environment and make changes that have positive impacts.
What is FSC? FSC, ( the Forest Stewardship Council®), is an international, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting responsible forestry. The FSC process certifies forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards.
What is PEFC? The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, is the worlds largest forest certification organisation. The PEFC chain of custody ensures that forests are managed according to environmental, social and economic criteria.
As a small business we understand that it's the little things that can make the biggest differences, which is why we are completely focused on giving personal and dedicated support to our customers. One of the reasons that we decided to become FSC and PEFC certified is so that we could help out our customers that create honest and sustainable products, as well as supporting issues surrounding the environment. We know how important sustainability is becoming within the retail sector, so we chose to make certain changes to be able to offer new, exciting and Eco-friendly display stands.
The FSC and PEFC certifications recognise our efforts to become more responsible regarding the impact that our business has on the environment. As a result of this, we are looking at Eco-friendly print media for the artwork that we apply to the display stands. This means that we can create 100% Eco-friendly display stands if required by customers. More brands are becoming aware of the key issues surrounding sustainability and they are providing consumers with new products that have authentic purpose. We can offer these brands Eco-friendly and refreshing display stands that match their values and don't cause any harm to the environment. The retail industry is quickly adapting to this new way of buying products and for brands to stay successful, they need to offer consumers products with solutions. As important as it is to look after our customers needs, we also take the time to focus on how, as a business, we can reduce our carbon footprint. Our factory is verging on being carbon neutral and this is mostly due to our WT15 Wood Waste heater that allows us to burn any excess materials that would normally get thrown away. This is also used to heat up the factory in the winter, meaning we use less electricity and energy.
